Who we are, how we got to Houston, and the standard we hold every crew to.

Our founder spent years moving families for a large national company. Same job, different houses — load the truck, deliver the boxes, collect the check. Around year three it stopped feeling like freight. People weren't hiring us to move objects; they were handing us wedding gifts, photo albums, their kids' first bedroom. And too often the company treated it like just another Tuesday.
In late 2016 he started We Haul in Nashville with two people and one truck. No corporate playbook — just the same expertise at a price that made sense, because customers should not have to cover a national advertising budget.
Houston came next. Families kept moving from Tennessee to Texas, and referrals started coming out of the Houston area before we had a truck here. We Haul Texas opened to serve them with the same crews-you-can-name standard — and today the majority of our Houston work still arrives by word of mouth.
'I wasn't going to build a moving company. I was going to build a business where people got treated like their move actually mattered.' - Founder
Being locally operated changes how you work. When neighbors know exactly where to find you, accountability isn't a slide in a training deck — it's Monday morning. Word travels fast in a Houston neighborhood, and referrals are our marketing budget — so how your move goes matters to us long after the truck pulls away.
Fair rates come from running lean and knowing what a move actually costs, not from hiring the cheapest labor available. We are not adding a markup for corporate overhead, which is why we are comfortable sharing our hourly rates instead of holding them back for a sales call.
It shapes decisions daily, from who we partner with to where we invest. We know what being overlooked by big companies feels like, so we make sure every customer feels seen — the two-hour job as much as the full-day one.

You will talk to the same team before and after your move rather than a call center. Ask why something takes time and you will get a straight answer. If something goes wrong, we would rather hear about it than have you leave it in a review — tell us and we will work with you on it. And you will know our rate before the truck rolls: hourly, with the truck, pads, wrap and floor protection included.

You rent the truck, trailer or portable container and we handle the heavy lifting and load planning. We have worked with rental trucks, trailers and portable storage containers. Same crews, and usually a lower total cost than a full-service move.
Boxes taped and labeled, drawers of loose items emptied, walkways clear, and elevator or gate access reserved with your building or HOA. Tell us about stairs, long carries or specialty items when you book so we size the crew correctly.
Yes — pianos, safes, antiques, artwork, treadmills and oversized furniture, including stairs and tight turns. Mention it at quote time so we bring the right equipment.
